Getting Settled in Palmyra

Here I am at the entrance to our campground.  It is located just the the left of the Hill Cumorah and the Vistor's Center.  It is a really fun place to live.  We have manicured lawns and the camp is maintained by the LDS Facility Management Group.

Here is a look at our home.  We picked a site that had a large tree by it.  Our trailer is shaded both in the morning and afternoon.  We love it here.

Here is a photo of Mom showing Joy's cool decal.  Mom bought the flowers to add a "down home" touch to our trailer.

We have bonfires quite often in the fire pit.  I'm starting to get to like smores.  I put this picture in just for Tad.  This is the wood that Facilities Mgt. has cut for us to use.  There are four more stacks behind the one that you can see.

Here is our temple.  It is smaller than the Gila Valley Temple.  The landscaping is so much better than the Gila Valley Temple.  They just finished digging up the tulips and replanting all new flowers.

This is the monument on top of the Hill Cumorah.  Mom walks up the hill several times a week to keep in shape.  My knee hurts just thinking about her climbing it.  For this picture we drove the truck up the road and took the picture.

The hill is pretty high.  You can see the road near the top of the picture.  That is the main road into Palmyra (State Route 21).  One most of Mom's walks she will see four deer that hang out on the hill.
