Night at the Ballpark....
Last week we saw a poster telling about the Newark Pilots baseball team. We decided to attend one of their home games. The town of Newark is about 6 miles away from Palmyra. The Newark Pilots are part of a NCAA Summer Baseball League. There are several teams around the area and each team is made up of players from colleges and universities all over the U.S. The ballpark is a nice field that is owned by the town. They were playing the team from Elmira, NY. The cool part is that there were two players from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA and one player from SUU in Cedar City, UT. It was actually a pretty good game...but Newark won 6-4. This league is a lower league like Bo Hall coached. He coached players from ASU, USC, Miami, etc. in Alaska.
