Yep...we had a train derailment Friday evening. And wouldn't you know it....it was almost in front of the temple. If it had happened 100 yards more toward the east it would have blocked the entrance to the temple. The train jumped the track at Central Road and Hwy. 70. By the time they got the train stopped the engine was directly in front of the temple. The last 13 cars were the ones that jumped the track. Freeport McMoran gave them two large cranes to lift the cars off the track so they can repair it and then lift the cars back onto the track. They are working long hours to get it fixed before the the Open House starts.
